Lists with This Book. The story is interesting and funny, without being completely over-the-top. And the heroine is no Mary Sue. Check this one out if you’re tired of all those girl-becomes-vampire books that take themselves far too seriously. The book seems aime “Jeez, you’d thing dying would grant you some small privileges, but noooooo.

The book seems aimed at the lower-to-middle age YA readership, but even as an adult I give it 4 stars and I’m a meanie. The title working ti the book! Interesting for sure Conclusion Continuing the Series: I really liked this book, but i kinda hated the MC.

She was rude to her only “real” friend, Piper. Then tries crazy hard to just be normal, embrace your undead life girl! Her family sure did, her dad was late to the party, but her mom rboar aunt didn’t even freak out about it. The twist near the end was interesting, i didn’t see it coming, and it was a bit too quick for me seerna oh well.

I am interesting to see how book 2 goes, i feel like i will totally hate the MC in that book since she is getting a sorority house and girls to “teach”. Oh and her “fangs”, had me cracking up. Braced to bite was an easy and fast read.

I finished this book in four hours and I enjoyed it a lot. There were some parts in the book that did bother me, but I will get to that in a bit. What I liked the most about this book was Colby. She sedena very funny and VERY bold. She was not afraid of anything and knew just what buttons to push. This book was only pages and had a little bit of everything.

I found myself laughing out loud so many times and rooting for Thomas and Colby. Now, what I did n Braced to bite was an easy and fast read. Now, what I did not like about this serens was that once Colby finds nraced what had happened to her and what she became, she was not shocked at all.

I just wasn’t convinced at all. It sort of bugged me that her family was just okay with everything and no one sersna cared or asked questions. Even when Colby’s friend finds out what she is, she is not really fazed by it.

This was the only issue I had with this book. It just seemed so fake and unreal. Other than that, it was a page turner. A good read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book of bracwd series. Colby is your average over-achieving cheerleader on the fast track to college and homecoming queen.

But her plans are changed when she is attacked by a rogue vampire. Soon she finds out that her future depends on the Vampire tribunal who really don’t like new “Half-Vampires”.

With bracde from her family and friends, she prepares to face the most important test of her life. It is funny and interesting. Her family’s reaction is great. I k Colby is your average over-achieving cheerleader on the fast track to college and homecoming queen. I know I will enjoy the next one. Oct 24, Quirks rated it liked it Shelves: But I just finished the second book in this series, which has me ticked off, and I have a bitch of a headache from binge-watching White Collar again so I’m gonna keep this to-the-point.

This book is about a girl named Colby.

One day, while she’s going home through the woods in the dark because she’s just that smartshe gets attacked bihe finds out she had turned into a half vampire. But half vampires are considered an abominat 2.

But half vampires are considered an abomination by the vamp society so she has to make a case to prove that she deserves to live. Now, I’m gonna be straight: The writing is acceptably fine and the narrative is funny, making this an entertaining read.

Braced to Bite (Half-Blood Vampire, book 2) by Serena Robar

And that’s basically what this book is: You won’t finish this book feeling amazed or itching for the second book. You’ll most likely read it and go, huh, vy was kinda fun, and serenw move on. The book could be quite cheesy and the story is nothing special. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh I blame the second book so I’ll say that it did make me laugh and I enjoyed reading it.

The protagonist was often annoying but I was able to look past it because she was also the thing that made the book fun. The main critique I wanted to talk about was the scene when Colby finds out she’s undead.

Seriously, no one seemed to have any reaction.

Colby herself was more concerned about her new pale complexion and how drinking blood was totally gross. I always start a book at five start and that scene made the rating drop straight to three.

Overall, this was a fun read and that’s what I recommend it for. But don’t read the roabr. I’m not writing a full review for the sequel but I’ll give you a non-spoiler glimpse. Hey Colby, you okay? He thinks I’m weak. Thomas is an asshole!

I’m never talking to him! Safe to say, I hated Colby. She was always making stupid assumptions, she was self-absorbed, vain, inconsiderate, bratty, about as mature as a 5-year-old, and dumber than a sac of potatoes.

Also safe to say, I’m not reading the third, and last, book. So yeah, you can check this book out but unless you absolutely adore it, I don’t recommend the sequel. This story is so unique and entertaining. Bit is just robr if the things ronar love int the book, I love Colby and Piper as friends. I Went through this book with nothing more than excitement and aw.

I Love how all the Vampires and have a different look than others, the fact that they look different than any other vampire I have Wow! I Love how all the Tp and have a different look than others, the fact that they look different than any other vampire I have ever read about made me happy, because it meant that the story was going to be unique.

Braced to Bite

Let me tell a unique story is the kind I love and often fall in love with. After finishing this book, which is the first in the series, I already don’t ever want this series to end.

To The Bige, This was a wonderful and exciting read, and I can’t wait to read the next book. If I could give this book 10 stars instead of 5 I so would. I Look forward to more Colby. Thank you So much for the wonderful story. Braced to Bite is a fun, fast read, and I really liked it!
