The text is funny but the illustrations are the best part of these even-adults-will-laugh picture books. This is a sarcastic book in the style of Dick and Jane.
They might find parts of it funny, but some parts are just too morbid or sophisticated to ent Meet the Hocky Family! I guess you had to be there. You can buy it here. Really funny, for adults more so than kids as they will not get a lot of the irony and jokes.

The pages are thick and look to be recycled paper hockky like brown paper bags.

Henry has made a bird feeder. Although not quite up to the level of the first Hocky family tome, this sequel is still full of wit and humor. It was time to go, but I spotted this, vaguely remembered reading it in the 90s and finding it funny, grabbed it and got us out of there.
